Did you know that hanging, blocked, and old culverts and other stream crossings can be barriers to fish passage? To figure out our priority fixes, there is an Alberta Watercourse Crossing App. Learning how to use the app will help to identify and document stream crossings responsible for erosion, sedimentation, and fragmentation of fish habitats in the Tawatinaw Watershed.
Learn how to use the app at our stream crossing assessment workshop on April 27th! We’ll start at the historic Athabasca train station with an overview of the app, and then complete a practice assessment on the Athabasca Landing Trail bridge.
