2021 Calendar Photo Contest
Announcements, AWC-WPAC, and Events | calendar, contest, photography, Water for Life, and watershed | June 2020

Calling all photographers! Would you like to be featured in our 2021 Calendar? Submit your best photos for a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card and to have your work seen by our entire audience!

The Athabasca Watershed Council is once again inviting photographers to submit their best photos of the Athabasca Watershed for our 2021 print calendar. We are looking for seasonal shots (spring, summer, autumn, winter) that relate to the Water for Life strategy: safe secure drinking water, healthy aquatic ecosystems; reliable quality and quantity of water for a sustainable economy. They should be creative, attractive, high-quality, landscape-oriented (wide) shots of various subjects. They need to have been taken within the Athabasca Watershed and by the contest participant. Click here for the watershed boundaries.

Entries must be submitted here or to admin@awc-wpac.ca in order to qualify. You can also post your photo to Instagram using the hashtag #AWC2021Photos. All submitted photos that meet the contest requirements will be be reviewed by a panel of judges where 14 photos will be selected as the contest winners. The winning photos will be posted on our Instagram account (@awc_wpac) shortly after the contest ends.

You may enter more than one photo, but each submission must be entered separately.

Each of the 14 winners will receive a (1) $25 gift card from Amazon (if you have submitted multiple photos and more than one is chosen, you will win a gift card for each winning photo), as well as a copy of our 2021 print Calendar.

Winners information will also be featured in the promotion of the calendar, which will include social media, website and print material and will be encouraged to provide their website and social media accounts so we can link them to our audiences. This is a great opportunity for your work to be seen throughout the watershed and beyond!

The contest opens on 9:00 am, Wednesday, July 1st and closes on 11:59 pm, Wednesday, September 30, 2020.
